Drama and Art are integral parts of our creative programme. Music is a large element of our overall curriculum, thus it is treated as its own learning area, but we include the use of music in our Arts and Creative Expression curriculum that encompass many different art forms including Dance, Drama, Media, Music and Visual Arts.  Each has its own specific characteristics and all make a unique contribution to children's learning.

Through active involvement in the Arts, children of all abilities are given the opportunity to develop a variety of ways to express themselves.

In Dance children learn to express themselves through movement and in the process develop teamwork, positive self-esteem and cooperation skills.

Drama is an area where children can react to real and imagined events through role-play, play making and performance.  It gives them the opportunity to explore and represent their ideas and feelings in a dramatic form.

Visual Arts is the exploration and expression of ideas using a broad range of approaches, including drawing and painting, craft, design, experimental and conceptual forms.  It involves the use of a variety of materials, mediums and techniques.

Media Studies is a vast topic and encompasses areas such as movies, television, filmmaking, newspapers, commercials and radio.
