The mission of Massada College is to promote excellence in a caring environment and to prepare each student, in partnership with parents and the community at large, to be a lifelong, self-directed learner & contributor in our diverse society. Massada College is the only school in Adelaide that provides a Jewish education. This means that the education curriculum and the social foundations on which the school is run, adhere to a Jewish ethos of cultural tolerance, academic focus and the spiritual observation of Judaism. These characteristics welcome the children of Adelaide’s Jewish community and of our Israeli visitors with a firm grounding in the knowledge and practice of Judaism, the Hebrew language and a love for Israel. Massada College embraces all children of any or no religious affiliation. To date, approximately 20% of students represent religious beliefs, ethnic origins and groups who are not Jewish. All students enjoy the highest standards in secular education adhering to the curriculum set by the South Australian Department of Education and offering acceleration in academic areas. All students are given the opportunity to nurture their spirit - to learn and to practice Jewish cultural history and traditions – immersed in a full Jewish social life, celebrating holidays, festivals and observances. Massada College not only provides the best possible opportunities for learning – We also have really great fun!
