The aims of the science programme are to develop an inquiring mind, to acquire new knowledge through problem solving, to develop process skills necessary to make their own discoveries.

Studies in Science provide opportunities for students to develop ways of investigating, describing and understanding our physical and biological world and apply those ways to solving problems beyond the context of the classroom.

Studies in science encourage students to seek and use evidence as the basis for forming ideas and taking action, and assist in the development of responsible attitudes towards the environment.

Massada College students do this through observation, classification, using space/time relationships, using numbers, communicating, measuring, predicting, formulating hypotheses, controlling variables, experimenting, formulating models, interpreting data and inferring.
